This research brief recommends that suicide prevention efforts should be tailored to those most in need. These efforts must also acknowledge and address the systemic inequities that a particular population may face and should be guided by that population’s unique community strengths. The brief makes three recommendations to apply an equity lens in suicide prevention efforts.
