Youth Mental Health and Well-being in Faith and Community Settings: Practicing Connectedness

Summary: The first section of this report reviews the status of mental health for U.S. youth and also works to put the challenges for youth mental health in context of different communities, cultures, and diverse experiences. This organization empowers faith and community leaders to be part of the solution to address youth mental health.

 

Application: This report provides child welfare and mental health professionals information, tools, and strategies that will help increase awareness about youth mental health, foster connection for youth, and support the actions that families, faith and community organizations can take to promote youth mental health and strengthen resilience through the power of connection and community. TA sites can utilize it in community building and to find additional supportive resources for children.
