Tribal Best Practices for Family Engagement

Summary:   Increasing knowledge and skills to develop, enhance, and support Family Engagement are ways that tribal child welfare programs can encourage workforce development and approaches to working with American Indian Alaska Native families. 

 

Application: Professionals will have access to increasing knowledge of historical and intergenerational traumas and its impact on families so that child welfare professionals can understand their roles and that of the families they work with. The Family Engagement toolkit provides access to strategies, ideas, and tools to support American Indians Alaska Natives (AI AN).
