he Pediatric Mental Health Care Access (PMHCA) program promotes behavioral health integration into pediatric primary care through telehealth, enabling timely detection, assessment, treatment, and referral for children and adolescents with behavioral health conditions. It provides training, technical assistance, and telehealth consultations to support pediatric providers and improve access to evidence-based behavioral health services, particularly in rural and underserved areas.

In 2022, the program demonstrated significant impact: over 8,880 primary care providers participated nationwide, 10,000 providers received training, and approximately 27,000 children and adolescents were served, including 6,800 in underserved areas. PMHCA emphasizes health equity, focusing on reducing racial, ethnic, and geographic disparities in care access.
