Illinois Child-Parent Psychotherapy Learning Collaborative

< 1 min read

An exemplar of how learning collaboratives can help clinicians advance their skills. This is a training program aimed at enhancing therapeutic services for families with young children affected by trauma and domestic violence. The program trains licensed or license-eligible mental health providers in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) through an 18-month learning collaborative. Participants—such as social workers, counselors, family therapists, and psychologists—will gain practical skills and become eligible for national CPP rostering upon completion, allowing them to apply the CPP model directly in their clinical work.
