Summary: This article reviews the prevalence of suicidal ideation, suicide attempt and suicide in children and young people placed in care with those who are not.
Application: It is essential that child welfare and mental health systems leaders as well as professionals are aware of the prevalence of suicidality for the children they are serve to inform prevention efforts.
