National Center Events – July 2024

July 7-10 FFTA

From July 7-10, the National Center will be presenting at the Family Focused Treatment Association (FFTA) in Denver, CO. The presentation will provide an overview of our work at the National Center as well as provide a space for an open discussion where we’ll have a chance to hear from attendees about the needs and pain points in their communities.

The Family Focused Treatment Association (FFTA) is a prominent non-profit dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and families through family-centered treatment services. With a network of nearly 500 member organizations throughout North America, FFTA supports professionals working with foster, adoptive, and kinship families by offering resources, training, and advocacy. The organization is committed to furthering practices and policies that support family-based care and the well-being and stability of children and their families.

FFTA’s annual conference connects leaders, professionals, and partners in mental health and child welfare to collaborate and work toward advancing wellness for families and communities.

The conference is aimed at adoptive, foster, and kinship parents, child welfare professionals, and individuals with lived experiences in adoption and foster care. Keynote presentations and workshops will cover topics not limited to trauma, adoption issues, therapeutic techniques, kinship care, and diversity.
