Series A

Each cohort includes 12 total hours over 6 months, consisting of 6 monthly sessions (2 hours each). Participants are expected to attend all sessions within their selected cohort.

• Session 1 – Establishing the Importance of Adoption Competency and Integrating Guiding Principles (NTI MHP Module 1)

• Session 2 – Understanding Complex Mental Health Needs (Module 2)

• Session 3 – Attachment & Addressing Grief & Loss in Treatment (Modules 3 & 4)

• Session 4 – Trauma-Informed, Identity-Informed Treatment (Modules 5 & 6)

• Session 5 – Assessment & Treatment Planning (Module 7)

• Session 6 – Addressing Challenging Behaviors with Therapeutic Interventions & Resourcing for Family Stability (Modules 8 & 9)

Series B

Each cohort includes 12 total hours over 6 months, consisting of 10 sessions (1 hour and 15 min. each). Participants are expected to attend all sessions within their selected cohort.

• Session 9 – Addressing Challenging Child Behaviors & Family Dynamics (Module 8)

Series C

Two cohorts to choose from to meet your availability. Each cohort includes 6 additional hours to Series A or B, consisting of 3, 2-hour sessions (frequency to be determined by cohort every 2–4 weeks). Participants are expected to attend all sessions within their selected cohort.

• Session 1 – Establishing NTI Learning Community Cohorts

• Session 2 – Facilitating NTI Content to Support Integration of Treatment Strategies & Interventions

• Session 3 – Addressing Challenging Group Dynamics & Strengthening Sustainable Implementation

Ongoing Drop-In Sessions (Cross-State)

• Bi-monthly 2-hour sessions to build community, connect with resources, provide additional transfer of learning opportunities, and engage in case consultation & clinical practice activities.

• Session topics will be focused on specific NTI content and can be adjusted/developed with site needs and requests in collaboration with onsite MHPs and/or CW training leadership.

• Examples of potential topics all with an adoption-competency and permanency-focused lens infused with perspectives of those with lived and living experiences:
