# A Tool for Youth Engagement and Youth Empowerment

**Summary:** Youth and young adult engagement and empowerment reside on a continuum of activities that range from actively engaging in one’s own case and transition plans to youth leadership, decision-making, and policy development. Youth need opportunities to explore their identity, autonomy to make important decisions regarding their life, and support from caring adults. This toolkit provides resources, checklists, and strategies.
