# NTI Transfer of Learning Guide for Mental Health Professionals in Private or Group Practice

This Supervisor Coaching and Activity Guide is intended to support the work mental health providers are already doing in individual or group supervision, coaching, or consultation. This guide will use the terms “supervisor,” “coach,” “coaching,” “colleague,” and
 “supervisee,” understanding that mental health professionals may be working within a
 public or private agency, mental health organization, or in private practice.

When a challenge arises pertaining to a particular issue or topic area, readers can choose
 activities that are specific to that module. Because drift from best practice happens even in
 the best of circumstances, providers can use these activities periodically in supervision to
 support continued use of the new skills in daily practice.
